In this latest round up of UK related domain sales reported to DNJournal.com this week, Recycle.co.uk becomes the highest ever reported sale of a .uk domain name. This is further proof of the strength of the UK’s ccTLD.
There were a number of really nice sales reported by DNJournal. Last week it was reported that MopedInsurance.co.uk sold for £10,000, around $20,000. Another nice sale last week was LondonCars.co.uk which sold for around £1,100 ($2,170).
This week, the sale of Recycle.co.uk for £150,000 ($309,901) was not the only spectacular deal. Another excellent one was Mobile.co.uk which sold for £120,000 ($248,000). Leith.com sold for almost £2,900 ($5,700). [Leith is very near the city of Edinburgh, Scotland which makes it a UK domain name!] Two other great sales were CarHireMarket.co.uk for £7,000 ($14,465) and GlobalCall.co.uk which sold for around £1,100, ($2,209).

The .co.uk space is really heating up lately and I think that we’ll see a lot more good sales in this extension over the next few months.
